well, I do not get it to work. First of all, do I understand the commands correctly? 1. update-grub is just for generating /boot/grub/grub.cfg and is run after upgrading grub-common or grub-pc. 2. To make these changes to take effect, grub-install /dev/md0 or /dev/sda has to issued. I will write more of what I did in two hours. Thanks, Paul
