I have removed iceape that was my default browser for quite some time
and installed iceweasel. But I was surprised that after the install my
default browser changed to lynx. Then I checked the alternatives list on
www-browser (update-alternatives --config www-browser) and saw no
iceweasel there! I purged iceweasel and installed it again, but nothing
changed.
Here is what I saw after the re-install:
