Package: microcode.ctl
Version: 1.17-8
Severity: normal

I used update-intel-microcode to update to the latest 20080910 one,
however I got an error that it is in invalid format.
$ file /usr/share/misc/intel-microcode.dat
/usr/share/misc/intel-microcode.dat: gzip compressed data, from Unix, last
modified: Wed Sep 10 08:28:59 2008

Indeed it is a .tgz now, if I unpack it, then microcode.ctl accepts it.
