Package: ddclient Version: 3.7.3-4.1 Severity: normal
I recently upgraded from etch to lenny, and found that lines in my /etc/ddclient.conf starting with: login=foo, password=bar no longer work. I don't get any error, ddclient just stops at the first such line. If I change the format of the line to put the username and password at the end (which is fine, but ambiguous in the case that the username contains a dot) then it works. However, ddclient -help still documents the old syntax, which also works for the default settings at the top of the file, so it does seem like a bug in the configuration file parser. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ddclient depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.22 Debian configuration management sy ii initscripts 2.86.ds1-61 Scripts for initializing and shutt ii lsb-base 3.2-20 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii perl [perl5] 5.10.0-13 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction Versions of packages ddclient recommends: ii libio-socket-ssl-perl 1.13-1 Perl module implementing object or ddclient suggests no packages. -- debconf information: * ddclient/run_daemon: true * ddclient/interface: web * ddclient/protocol: dyndns2 * ddclient/run_ipup: false * ddclient/username: rrthomasrr ddclient/newconfigfmt: * ddclient/names: femur.dyndns.org ddclient/modifiedconfig: * ddclient/server: members.dyndns.org * ddclient/daemon_interval: 1000 * ddclient/service: www.dyndns.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
