Hi, thanks a lot for this quick help! Updating to poppler 0.8.6-1 solved the problem. From my point of view, bug can be closed.
Excuse the delay of my answer, had to check why packages list of my - once preferred - mirror site has been that outdate, though actual versions of packages available.
