Package: vdr Version: 1.4.4-1 Severity: normal Tags: l10n
Directories with recordings are by default named by programme title from EPG, which can contain characters with accents. vdr in etch is compiled with option VFAT=1, this setting damages the directory names (programme titles) in the filesystem (certain characters are escaped like this 'Ve#E8ern#ED#E8ek'). There is no way to switch it back to original default, only by recompilation. vdr includes an command line option to switch on this behaviour (--vfat). I suggest removing the compiled-in default and move the configuration to config file of startup script, so it can be switched off without recompilation. thanks Milan -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18.1 Locale: LANG=cs_CZ, LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ (charmap=ISO-8859-2) Versions of packages vdr depends on: ii adduser 3.102 Add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.11etch2 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcap2 0.cvs.20010529-4 Support for POSIX.1e capabilities ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libjpeg62 6b-13 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii makedev 2.3.1-83 creates device files in /dev ii psmisc 22.3-1 Utilities that use the proc filesy Versions of packages vdr recommends: pn lirc <none> (no description available) -- debconf information: * vdr/select_dvb_card: Terrestrial * vdr/showinfo: * vdr/create_video_dir: true -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
