There is no support for the 1.3.x series because at the time 0.8.7b was released rrdtool 1.3 was still in development. The new version of rrdtool (1.3.x) has changed the ABI, thus some of the commands / arguments has changed their meaning. For example, the font arguments are not expecting a path anymore, but a font name. Because of this the following settins are broken on cacti 0.8.7x or before: * RRDTool Default Font Path (under settings -> paths) * Default RRDtool 1.2 Fonts (under settings -> visual) The direct consequence is that the graphs contain unformatted (and ugly) text along with the corresponding values.
