As I think I noted earlier, I have xtrlock bound to a key (F4, as it happens), and it works fine.
I switched to XFCE some time ago and gave xtrlock another try, only to discover that it doesn't work with that WM either. So, by what I gather from #316343 and #325613, xtrlock works fine with fvwm, but not with sawfish, fluxbox or xfce. IMHO this severely limits the utility of this package, and I would appreciate it if you implemented the solution, as xtrlock fits my requirements perfectly in other respects.
