Hi!
It would be more than convenient if the gitweb package would work
nicely out-of-the-box. I suggest the following approach:
Prefix the $stylesheet, $logo, $favicon paths with /gitweb/ and add an
/etc/apache2/conf.d/gitweb file that reads:
Alias /gitweb /usr/share/gitweb
That way the files are actually used on just installing the package
like expected. :) I haven't taken a look at the experimental version if
there is something along that lines already done, there are some
bugreports open against gitweb that might hint in that direction - if it
works there like that then accept my excuse but I currently don't want
to pull in the experimental version into lenny.
