I'm not aware of any other installable packages using the term pseudo-package, but about twenty using meta-package. Would you mind answering my other questions: Does somebody who had proftpd on etch, upgrades to lenny, and finally uninstalls proftpd, would have the same problem? After all, they read the documentation when originally installing proftpd, but probably not when upgrading. (I do not read all package descriptions on upgrade.)
