I am using Debian Lenny and I also got have this problem. Splashy won't start KDM. However, what Yuya Nishihara suggests, won't work for me (also my timidity seems to be properly configured, since I do not get this message). So, splashy is unuseable at the moment. I dunno what update caused this error, cause at first everything worked fine, but since 3 (or 4) days I get this error. I almost update my system daily.
I also have no second machine to log in my system with ssh, so the only way to properly use my machine at the moment, is to disable splashy -- a real showstopper here! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
