Dear DDs,
I am experiencing the same problems. I was able to use my account on
amessage when the name was still gaim and wanted to start using it
again.
The displayed error message in the window is
SSL Handshake failed
and in German (for German speaking people using a search engine)
SSL-Verhandlung gescheitert.
I think the links mentionend in the previous messages and especially
upstream bug #1435 [1] apply here as well.
