fai-quickstart is not installable on powerpc as it depends on syslinux which is only available on amd64 and i386. Limiting a dependency to certain architectures is not possible - see sections 7.1 and 7.2 of the Policy. A quick search revealed that live-helper (which is the only other Architecture: all reverse dependency of syslinux) uses "grub" as an alternative dependency. I'm not sure if that is an option for FAI as well.
