It depends on libsane and sane-utils, and I agree that the libsane dependency is useless but harmless. What happened to sane (i.e. sane-frontends)? sid has 1.0.14, rather than 1.0.19. I am interested because for some scanners, scanadf seems to work better than scanimage (and therefore gscan2pdf offers support for both).
