Package: gpm Version: 1.20.3~pre3-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Up to kernel 2.6.24 gpm behaves as expected. After an upgrade to 2.6.25 there is no longer a mouse cursor, but when issuing /etc/init.d/gpm restart no error message is printed. In /var/log/messages I also see "Started gpm successfully. Entered daemon mode". But the mouse is not visible, nothing happens when I press the button(s). Downgrading (rebooting) into kernel <= 2.6.24 resolves the problem.
