Hello Aigars, while examining the situation more thoroughly I found out that the crash was caused by a corrupted backup file which most probably was caused by a hard drive error on one of my RAID 1 disks. Renaming the corrupted "flist" file to "flist.corrupt" resolved the issue and the restore program worked again as expected. I think corrupted files should not leave the whole program inoperable.
