Yes, I did the same as Christian. It works fine replacing the start symlink with a kill synlink. I close the bug now, then. Sorry about the noise. Anyway, I think this behaviour of invoke-rc.d is not intuitive nor useful, but I guess I should complain to invoke-rc.d's maintainer, not here. Regards, Cesar
