The log looks very innocent to me, up to the point were bison is called. It should not, however, since the bison results in the distribution are newer than the bison source.
One thing that can possibly go wrong is the preservation of attributes in the »cp -p« call. Assuming that it does not work, the copy order makes the source newer than the product. That should be fixable by swapping lines 199 and 200 with 201 and 202 in the Makefile.
