Further upgrades/installs don't change anything. At the beggining, I only had a text system (without X). > Stupid suggestion, but did you try changing the *keyboard* of your machine. I use a Logitech Cordless USB Keyboard. Before sending the report, I tried another one with a PS/2 Cord. The problem was exactly the same. I have a WinXP on another partition and never had any problem with the Logitech one (ok, impossible is not Windows ... but anyway :-) ) Additionnaly, when I don't succeed in login on a console (due to ^[t things) I can try another one, on which I succeeded in log in and never have any mapping problem on it. Could it really be a hardware problem (keyboard, motherboard, ...?)
