I agree too - since there is no conflict and since Firefox/Iceweasel will use
the most recent version, then the current settings seems like the best way to
go.

I've attached a proposed README.Debian file for the
/usr/share/doc/iceweasel-firegpg directory of the package that explains the
situation.

The iceweasel-firegpg package is designed to work in conjunction with FireGPG
Automatic Updates. Please leave the setting "Disable FireGPG Automatic Updates"
unchecked.

This package is stored in the system directories (/usr/share and /usr/lib)
whereas FireGPG Automatic Updates store the plugin in the current user's home
directory. FireGPG will use which ever version is the most recent. By allowing
automatic updates via FireGPG and via aptitude, you will be more likely to have
the most recent version.
