As I see all manual pages of git-core, when ever <bold>..</bold>
combinations are used in corresponding HTML pages, their manpages have
âfB...âfR shown in UTF-8 consoles (gnome-terminal and linux console
under UTF-8).
As I see manpage groff source, they are actuary in following code
sequences:
E2 96 93 66 42 .. .. .. E2 96 93 66 52 (HEX)
â ? ? f B â ? ? f R (ASCII)
<bold> </bold>
This is consistent and very annoying when reading document. If this is
groff compatibility issue, it should be addressed in build time to match
Debian manpage sitution.
