Then you definitely have some completely different problem.
Could you please open an new, separate bug containing:
- The output of the commands:
uname -a
env COLUMNS=200 dpkg -l openafs-modules\*
- The complete kernel dmesg output from attempting to load the AFS module
after a fresh reboot.
- The details on how you built the module for your kernel
(module-assistant? make-kpkg?)
