Hi Florian, thanks for spotting this bug. I wrote code for ignoring hidden files, unfortunately this line contained a typo. This will be fixed in ferm 1.3.5, which however will not be included in Etch (1.3.4 is in Lenny currently). It should be quite safe to install this version on Etch.
