DVDs are not supported in the latest SVN snapshot package: "mplayer dvd://1" returns "No stream found to handle url dvd://1". "mplayer -dvd-device /dev/cdrom dvd://1" is a bit more explicit: "MPlayer was compiled without libdvdread support." This also affects mencoder. Please recompile both packages with libdvdread.
