Oh, this was my mistake. I accidentally compared the completely unstripped
binary with the fully stripped one. However, if I first compile it
regularly (just 'debuild' in the source tree) and then with the additional
strip options, it gets smaller. However, just a couple of hundred bytes.
So the savings aren't that huge... but may still be useful to do it of
course.
