Bug#489525: libppd: ugly source package

Extracting the orig.tar.gz gives:
  libppd-0.10/src
  libppd-0.10/doc

After unpacking the debian source package there is another dir 
"libppd-0.10" which also contains "src" and "doc":

  libppd-0.10/src
  libppd-0.10/doc
  libppd-0.10/libppd-0.10/src
  libppd-0.10/libppd-0.10/doc

So the diff contains the whole orig.tar.gz again!
