I just got my hands on ATI Radeon HD 3650 with fglrx 1:8-6-2 and I have the same issue: try to login as one more user and the whole machine freezes (music stutters, screen goes blank, no response to keyboard). I checked ~/.xsession-errors, /var/log/messages -- completely nothing about the crash.
