I've not been deeply into Perl packaging yet but I write software in
Perl and know the language. I'm not a findimagedupes user myself but am
willing to adopt it. Or co-maintain, if you prefer.
Well, it's called group maintenance - Maintainer is the Debian Science
Team and I know you feel as a member. You might formally put your
name as Uploader and just start using the Vcs. (I even would not mind
if you port findimagedupes to git which gives me one more reason to
start with git ...)
I cant find any package perlapi-* and don't know really what to do
here. So a real patch would be very helpful.
perlapi-* is provided by perl-base but I can't get dh_perl to insert add
it to substvars. I'll look into the issue again and hope to be able to
provide a patch. If not, I'll get in touch with the Perl packaging team.
I would also have no real problem if the Perl packaging team takes
over. We should do whatever makes sense to keep this package inside
Debian in a good quality.
