This is more than confusing; it means that you *cannot* login into this graphical window manager with the "usual" mouse actions. Either the password fields must be displayed from the start, or the must be a mouse action to enter only the name, and get the password field. Personally, I think this should be of important severity, maybe even RC, but since it has rotten in the BTS as wishlist for so long, I only switch to normal - maybe there are reasons I don't see at the moment.
