Hello,

You are right. This problem is caused by the experimental library since it does not exist in a pure Debian Sid system.

Moreover, I have tried to downgrade libatk1.0-0 and libgtk2.0-0 to sid versions, but this problem is still there. I wanna know which packages have to be downgraded too to solve this bug?

Thank you very much.

Subject: scim makes abiword quit abnormally

Hello,

I found abiword usually quit abnormally and this problem might be scim
related. I debugged abiword with gdb and got such bt information:

[backtrace snipped]

It seems that scim may be responsible for this fault.

Yes it looks like so. However a backtrace without debug symbols are
usually useless.

Versions of packages scim depends on:
ii libatk1.0-0 1.10.1-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit
ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.7-1 The GTK+ graphical user

And it seems you are using packages from experimental. The versions in
sid should be 1.8.0-4 for libatk1.0-0 and 2.6.4-3 for libgtk2.0-0.
Please at least confirm that you can reproduce this bug in a pure sid
environment.

Thanks,
Ming
