Texmacs does not display filenames in UTF-8 correctly in the F2 "Load..." file dialog regardless of the language setting. If such a filename is typed in the "File:" field of the dialog it is displayed correctly (when the language is set as needed), but the file is not loaded. If I click on the garbled name instead, the file is loaded (however, one has to be a proffesional cryptoanalist to be able to find the needed file in the list). The file is also loaded and later saved okay if called as a parameter on the command line. There is a similar problem with S-F3 "Save as" dialog: a russian filename can be typed in and it is displayed correctly but when it gets saved to disk it gets garbled. The program should pay attention to locale settings and convert filenames respectively.
