Package: debconf Version: 1.5.22 Severity: important Dear Debconf maintainers,
In the "Modified configuration file" dialog of Debconf, when chosing the sdiff option, /usr/share/debconf/frontend hangs eating 100% of CPU power. Ctrl-C can escape this. To have an opportunity to see this bug, you can for instance cdebootstrap Etch, and update it to Lenny: bash-completion uses this dialog. (As a side whishlist, how about giving a very basic manpage to frontend, as it can appear in top or ps outputs? It is as simple as adding a bit of POD documentation and running pod2man…) Have a nice day, -- Charles Plessy, Tsurumi, Kanagawa, Japan. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages debconf depends on: ii debconf-i18n 1.5.22 full internationalization support ii perl-base 5.10.0-10 The Pathologically Eclectic Rubbis Versions of packages debconf recommends: ii apt-utils 0.7.14+b1 APT utility programs -- debconf information: debconf-apt-progress/preparing: debconf-apt-progress/title: debconf-apt-progress/info: debconf-apt-progress/media-change: debconf/frontend: Dialog debconf/priority: high -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
