Package: vim Version: 1:7.1.314-3 Severity: minor Hi, by default when a spell file isn't found vim will try to download it via ftp as per spellfile.vim, this usually fails because netrw defaults to using the command "ftp" which I cannot found in any package (ok, changing this default should be a separate bug, I'll open if needed).
I'd like to have the default g:spellfile_URL point to http as netrw will use curl/wget/fetch with higher chance of success, besides FTP must die :) thanks, filippo -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25.1-mactel (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages vim depends on: ii libacl1 2.2.47-2 Access control list shared library ii libc6 2.7-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgpmg1 1.20.3~pre3-3.1 General Purpose Mouse - shared lib ii libncurses5 5.6+20080614-1 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libselinux1 2.0.59-1 SELinux shared libraries ii vim-common 1:7.1.314-3 Vi IMproved - Common files ii vim-runtime 1:7.1.314-3 Vi IMproved - Runtime files vim recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
