Thanks for the bugreport. I agree the references to LanManager are a bit out of date, and are at least incomplete. I'll see if I can fix this in the next upload.
Samba 4 is not specifically aimed at supporting SMB2 however - it supports SMB itself just as well. SMB2 is also disabled by default. The other bit of your bug report appears to be about the Samba 3 package descriptions, not about the Samba 4 ones.
