Package: iceweasel
Version: 2.0.0.14-0etch1

Iceweasel accesses the ALSA sound device directly and with Gnome (ESD) it
causes the browser unable to play sound.
Setting ICEWEASEL_DSP=esddsp explicitly doesn't work, the browser still
tries to access the sound device directly.

It doesn't matter if I change the ICEWEASEL_DSP in the file
/etc/iceweasel/iceweaselrc to "none", "auto" or "esddsp".
Also doesn't matter if I set this on the command line. Iceweasel always
tries to access the sound device directly.

Killing esd obviously enables the browser to play music by releasing the
sound device. But it's just a workaround...

It would be great if you could check why iceweasel is not willing to use
esddsp.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 r3 Etch.

Thanks in advance!
Imre
