Package: xletters Version: 1.1.1-4 Severity: important Tags: l10n
It is impossible to type umlauts within xletters. When the correct umlaut key is pressed on the keyboard. The word selected word on the screen is unselected again. Thus words containing umlauts can never be typed. This renders the program useless for German users -- and presumedly for all others who are using a language with accented or otherwise modified letters. I ran xletters from within XFCE4 with a German environment.
