Package: aptitude Version: 0.4.11.4-1 Severity: important --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Some time ago I noticed, that updating of the packages is very-very slow. E.g updating of openoffice from 2.4.0-6 to 2.4.1-1 taked about 5 hours. The packages were downloaded very fast, but after then aptitude unpacked them very long time.
I have SATA drives and read/write caches are enabled, so this is not a
hardware problem. Also, the packages were downloaded very fast.
