Gah. It's more complicated than that.

Puppet must specify -o when you're specifying a UID and modifying a user, or when you're specifying a GID and modifying a group, and not e.g. when you specify a GID but are modifying a user.

I think this means that the useradd and groupadd providers should override the nameservice/objectadd modifycmd appropriately.

A lot of hassle because usermod/groupmod insist on sucking... ;-)
