*** Please type your report below this line *** I need to execute the command "ifup wlan0" before setting the wireless options. This is caused by a hardware issue. I did not find a way to do that with network-manager-kde, therefore I can't use that nice program. My current workaround is, to use ifup/ifdown scripts not using network-manager at all. Example how it works at the command line: modprobe iwl3945 ifup wlan0 iwconfig wlan0 essid "bla" iwconfig wlan0 key "blubb" If I put the ifup command below the iwconfig commands, the wireless card refuses to connect to the AP. It would be very nice, if network-manager-kde allow me to insert that ifup command by configuration or by calling a script.
