I cannot reproduce this using openssl 0.9.8g-10. Nessus-adduser works for me. Can you please send the output of the following command: echo "test" | openssl md5 It would be also nice if you run nessus-adduser like this: sh -x /usr/sbin/nessus-adduser 2>/tmp/nessus-adduser.log and you sent me the file /tmp/nessus-adduser.log for review.
