You reported a bug about apt-file needing a progress indicator when downloading release files. Of course there are also people requesting that apt-file be silent except in case of errors :-) The apt-file.conf allows to change the options with which curl and wget are called, so you can there easily change it to display a progress indicator if you want to. Would that be sufficient for your needs? thanks, Thijs
