Package: kexec-tools Version: 20080324-1 Severity: important
Hi, after the upgrade of kexec-tools, init 6 no longer loaded a new kernel. To fix this I first tried dpkg-reconfigure kexec-tools but even enabling kexec didn't cause init 6 to reload a new kernel. I then set in /etc/default/kexec: KERNEL_IMAGE="/boot/vmlinuz-`uname -r`" INITRD="/boot/initrd.img-`uname -r`" and in /etc/init.d/kexec-load commented out the following line: #test "$LOAD_KEXEC" = 1 || exit 0 This restored the desired behaviour. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25 (SMP w/1 CPU core; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kexec-tools depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.21 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries kexec-tools recommends no packages. -- debconf information: * kexec-tools/load_kexec: true -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
