Package: kexec-tools
Version: 20080324-1
Severity: important

Hi, after the upgrade of kexec-tools,

init 6

no longer loaded a new kernel.

To fix this I first tried

dpkg-reconfigure kexec-tools

but even enabling kexec didn't cause init 6 to reload a new kernel.

I then set in /etc/default/kexec:

KERNEL_IMAGE="/boot/vmlinuz-`uname -r`"
INITRD="/boot/initrd.img-`uname -r`"

and in /etc/init.d/kexec-load commented out the following line:

#test "$LOAD_KEXEC" = 1 || exit 0

This restored the desired behaviour.
