The new packages exhibits the same issue.

In fact, to clarify the failing scenario a bit :
* 3 panels, 2 external (panel 1 and 2), 1 laptop panel (panel 3)
* when xscreensaver starts up, only panel 1 and panel 3 are active
* panel 3 is deactivated using xrandr --off to free up a crtc
* panel 2 is activated using xrandr
* panel 2 and 3 are put in extended desktop mode using xrandr --leftof
* when Xscreensaver starts, both panels 2 and 3 perform the "fade
out", but the screensaver is only shown on panel 2, panel 1 still
shows the desktop and its open windows
