[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# aptitude install request-tracker3.4 Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree Initializing package states... Done Reading task descriptions... Done The following NEW packages will be automatically installed: apache-common libapache-mod-perl libxml-libxml-common-perl libxml-libxml-perl libxml-namespacesupport-perl libxml-sax-perl libxml-simple-perl
If apt-get is too stupid to resolve dependencies correctly, then it appears aptitude suffers from the same problem. I believe the problem stems from: liblog-dispatch-perl (>= 2.0), libapache-mod-perl | libapache-mod-speedycgi | libcgi-fast-perl, libmailtools-perl (>= 1.57) If you'll note, right after liblog-dispatch-perl, you have a requirement for libapache-mod-perl | libapache-mod-speedycgi | libcgi-fast-perl, with no alternatives for apache2 packages. As far as apt-get goes, 3.4.1-2 installed just fine with it.
