the debian-edu source package contains debian/lintian.override but this is not

Nice feature request. When writing cdd-dev I had the same policy as debhelper
in mind which does intentionally not provide dh_installlintianoverrides
(or something like that - I remember a bug about this, but I'm to tired now
to verify the bug number). But I agree that we might perhaps add such a
feature to cdd-dev. On the other hand we need a means to ensure that
the overrides will be put into the right meta package. This will probably
not work with the corrent lintian.override in the debian-edu source.
I see three chances:
1. Use always only _one_ override file for all metapackages and put it
into CDD-tasks (because this is installed for all meta packages anyway),
but the override is somehow missplaced here.
2. Use separate override files and use a naming sheme like <task>.override.
3. Grep the single lintian.override file for metapackage-names and put the
relevant entry into the according meta package.
Which solution would you prefer?
Kind regards
Andreas.
