Hello The Hurd,
I run Etch's iceweasel 2.0.0.14-0etch1
For the sake of simplicity, I will call <A_Directory> BOTH the absolute path
to
some OS-level directory and this directory itself.
(i.e. "/home/valentin" or "/home/valentin/")
BUT I shrink the set of available characters in <A_Directory> so that the
URL
"file://<A_Directory>" be a valid URL pointing to <A_Directory> needless
encoding mechanism. (trivial mapping for the user)
Then, a problem occurs:
Typing a "file://<A_Directory>" URL in the location bar, I get only a
truncated
directory listing consisting of 120 hyperlinks:
- The 1st one points to <A_Directory>'s parent directory.
- The 119 remaining ones ARE files and subfolders of <A_Directory>,
as expected, but many are missing.
These displayed items appear sorted AND ARE the beginning (119 1st elements)
of the list of <A_Directory>'s subitems (both files and subdirectories)
sorted case-sensitive.
That is the full list of <A_Directory>'s subitems IS sorted case-sensitive
BEFORE being cropped to the 1st 119 items.
Note:
- I've noticed this strange behavior just now once upgraded to
iceweasel 2.0.0.14-0etch1
- I previously ran iceweasel 2.0.0.13xxxxxxx and I think (though not sure)
this version didn't have this bug.
