I agree with the original submitter of the bug that it would be nice
if the freebsd manpages could coexist with the linux man pages.
However, as long as this isn't implemented you have to conflict
with linux-manual-2.6.24 since otherwise installation fails:

dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/linux-manual-2.6.24_2.6.24-5_all.deb (--unpack):
 trying to overwrite `/usr/share/man/man9/atomic_add.9.gz', which is
 also in package freebsd-manpages
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-manual-2.6.24_2.6.24-5_all.deb
