Package: apt-show-versions
Version: 0.12~bpo40+1
Severity: important
apt-show-versions doesn't detect that there is a valid upgrade to the rsync
security upgrade. As you can see below, 2.6.9-2etch2 is a valid candidate
for upgrade:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# apt-cache policy rsync
rsync:
Installed: 2.6.9-2etch1
Candidate: 2.6.9-2etch2
Version table:
3.0.2-1 0
2 http://macaw.riseup.net testing/main Packages
1 http://macaw.riseup.net unstable/main Packages
3.0.0-2~bpo40+1 0
1 http://macaw.riseup.net etch-backports/main Packages
2.6.9-2etch2 0
500 http://macaw.riseup.net etch/updates/main Packages
*** 2.6.9-2etch1 0
500 http://macaw.riseup.net etch/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
However, apt-show-versions -u doesn't think there is anything to upgrade:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# apt-show-versions -u rsync
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# apt-show-versions rsync
rsync 2.6.9-2etch1 installed: No available version in archive
If I ask apt to install -2etch2 it will install it and if I run
apt-show-versions with --initialize nothing changes.
Thanks for this package, its really great and I appreciate the work you do on
it!
Micah
