Hi John,

You seem to be very quiet on updating this recently although you seems
to be very active on d-u ML etc. and now should be easy to upload with
DD status.

If you are not maintaining this, I think it may be good idea to remove
from archive. I say this because this bug report was, although not so
critical, but with a valid patch. You said "Thank you for your patch."
but did not follow with action for years. This may be an indication you
are not maintaining this with interest recently.

Currently, this and sysv-rc-conf are the only console configuration
utility I know. That makes this as the second popular package.
 * Package: sysv-rc-conf                     348  1532   192     3
 * Package: sysvconfig                       244   668    62     0

I compaired both. The keyboad response of your code was not good for me
although yours supply /usr/sbin/service command. These UI issues have
been requested on BTS which seems to be addressable. At least
sysv-rc-conf does not suffer that kind of basic UI issue but w/o
/usr/sbin/service command.

To me, this sysvconfig seems interesting attempts by you when started.

As I saw recent ITP for chkconfig (Bug#475361), it is clear that we need
a better console configuration tool than even sysv-rc-conf. If you are
not maintaining this sysvconfig, I think it is best to remove this to
reduce user confusion.

You can create a transition packge to let people move to chkconfig or
help it as DD too. What is your thought?

Osamu
