severity 400797 grave thanks I'm the maintainer of this package, and I have doubt about ext2resize being included in Lenny. I have not found time to investigate properly, but if I understand correctly, the ext2prepare program do not work with the recent kernels, and thus the only useful program in the package is broken. I agree that some transition path should be prepared, but do not believe I will have time to work on it in time. The workaround is to create a new file system with the resize_inode and copy data, so it is possible to handle if one got enough disk space.
Because of this, I flag this bug as release critical, and urge someone else to take over. Upstream development for this package is as far as I can tell dead. There are some fixes commited to upstream SCM by me and a few others. I became part of the upstream development group, but lacked the privileges to make a new release, and thus was unable to get fixed versions out that way. Did not find time to try to do anything about it. Happy hacking, -- Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
